Every year on February 11, we extend our congratulations to all women who have dedicated their lives to scientific research and discoveries, as well as those who are just beginning their journey in science.
In Kazakhstan, women play a significant role in many areas of scientific research. At the Institute of Zoology, talented female researchers focus on studying biodiversity, conserving rare species, analyzing ecological processes, introducing modern research methods, and more. Their work not only expands the horizons of zoological science but also protects our country’s natural heritage.
Today, the scientific community is increasingly becoming a space of opportunity, where professionalism, curiosity, and a thirst for knowledge are highly valued. However, certain challenges still stand in the way of equal conditions—such as supporting young women researchers, ensuring access to funding, and overcoming stereotypes.
On this occasion, we would like to thank all women who have devoted themselves to science. Their work helps us to better understand the world around us, develop innovative technologies, and preserve our natural wealth for future generations. Their examples inspire girls to move forward, boldly choose scientific paths, and contribute to the progress of society.
May this day serve as a reminder of the significance of women’s contributions and mark another step toward equal opportunities in science!
