On May 22, International Day for Biological Diversity, the “Biodiversity of Kazakhstan 2025” competition begins!
Everyone can participate — simply photograph plants, animals, and fungi in nature, upload your observations to iNaturalist.org, and your data will contribute to science and the conservation of Kazakhstan’s nature.
Special focus is on rare, endangered, and protected species, as well as the biodiversity of Semirechye and East Kazakhstan. Top observers will receive prizes, and the data will help enrich the Red Book and global biodiversity databases (GBIF).
