The heads of laboratories and research staff of the Institute of Zoology conducted an excursion for a group of university lecturers from various cities across Kazakhstan.
Our colleagues, university instructors of biological sciences, gathered in Almaty with their institution teams to participate in the XVIІ Republican Subject Olympiad among higher education students in the educational program “6B015 – Training of Biology Teachers,” held April 24–25 at the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Geography of Abai KazNPU. The Olympiad aimed to stimulate youth interest in research activities and encourage their involvement in solving modern scientific challenges.
To familiarize the team leaders with the Institute’s scientific work, they were invited on an excursion through several of the Institute’s units, including the Cryobiology and Animal Germplasm Biobank, Parasitology, Hydrobiology and Ecotoxicology, Ornithology and Herpetology, Arachnology and Other Invertebrates laboratories.
During the visit, discussions were held on potential collaboration for organizing scientific internships for students, master’s, and doctoral candidates from regional universities, as well as other forms of scientific cooperation between Kazakhstani universities and the Institute of Zoology under the Ministry of Science and Higher Education.
