Berdikulov Bekzhan Talgatovich, Acting Head of the Laboratory of Ornithology and Herpetology of the Institute of Zoology of the Republic of Kazakhstan, successfully defended his dissertation for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD).
Dissertation title: “Study of the nesting biology and seasonal migrations of Columbiformes (Aves, Columbiformes) in Southern and South-Eastern Kazakhstan”, within the educational program “8D05101 – Biology”. The dissertation was carried out at the Laboratory of Ornithology and Herpetology of the Institute of Zoology of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The dissertation defense took place on December 25 at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University (KazNU). The work of Berdikulov B.T. received high praise from the members of the dissertation council, who noted the scientific novelty of the research and the significance of the obtained results for ornithological studies and biodiversity conservation in Kazakhstan.
