The forum brought together representatives of government agencies, international organisations, the business community and academia to exchange experience and discuss current approaches to managing projects and organisations. The programme covered systems thinking, risk management and communication, as well as the use of artificial intelligence and digital tools in management practice.

One of the forum’s central themes was the concept of Biomimetic & Management — applying the principles and mechanisms of living systems to the management of projects and organisations. Participants explored how natural mechanisms of adaptation, interaction, resource allocation and resilience can inspire new ideas for improving management processes.

Sergey Kolov’s participation in the forum strengthens the Institute of Zoology’s presence at interdisciplinary professional events that foster knowledge exchange between the scientific community, government institutions and the business sector.

The forum was organised by the Ministry of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Astana IT University and the People&Projects team.

What can management learn from nature?

The principles that enable living systems to adapt to change, interact and maintain resilience can inspire new approaches to project management.
