The conference was held in Orenburg on April 24-28 and was co-organized by our Institute.
The conference was devoted to the history of research, natural and anthropogenic factors in the formation of the fauna, the current state and dynamics of the fauna, as well as systematics, evolution, ecology and protection of terrestrial vertebrates of arid and subarid ecosystems of the Aral-Caspian region.
The scientists of the Institute presented their research in different directions related to the study of the Aral-Caspian fauna. They shared their results and discussed issues related to conservation of animals and ecosystems of this region.
The conference participants also visited the historical center of Orenburg, where they learned about the rich history of the city. An excursion was organized to the Orenburg State Nature Reserve, Zaural Grove and Svetlinsky Biological Reserve, where scientists were able to observe the life and behavior of animals in their natural habitat.
The conference was informative and interesting, and we thank the organizers for hosting the event. We hope that our scientists were able to contribute to the study of the fauna of the Aral-Caspian region and exchange experiences with colleagues from the regions.
