Scientific Secretary of the Institute of Zoology Gulzhanat Tanabekova took part in the meeting of the Council of Young Scientists of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education

On August 4, a working meeting took place between the Chairman of the Science Committee of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Galymzhan Zhankuatov, and the Council of Young Scientists, which has been active since April 2024. Gulzhanat Tanabekova, PhD and Scientific Secretary of the Institute of Zoology, participated in the meeting.

During the meeting, the new Chairman of the Council was officially introduced, and the key areas of work for the upcoming period were outlined.

The main priorities for 2025 include improving the regulatory framework in the field of science, supporting young scientists’ initiatives, and creating conditions for more active engagement of young researchers in scientific processes.

Addressing the participants, Chairman Galymzhan Zhankuatov emphasized the role of young scientists in national science development:

“You are not only the future of Kazakhstani science, you are its driving force today. You possess what is necessary for change: energy, fresh perspectives, bold ideas, and a drive for results. We deeply value your contributions and are ready to support you at every step, encouraging your initiatives and providing the conditions for your scientific ambitions,” – said the Chairman of the Science Committee.

According to the meeting participants, the Council of Young Scientists should serve as an effective platform for generating and promoting young researchers’ initiatives, ensuring feedback between scientific youth and state institutions.

The Science Committee expressed readiness for open dialogue and constructive cooperation, underlining the importance of involving young scientists in decision-making processes concerning the development of the country’s scientific environment.
