On April 8, employees of the Institute of Zoology of the Republic of Kazakhstan held a community clean-up event to improve the area surrounding the institute. This is not just a traditional spring cleaning – it is a contribution to fostering environmental culture and a careful attitude toward the environment.

The initiative fits naturally into the nationwide campaign “Taza Kazakhstan”, aimed at improving the environmental situation and promoting responsibility for the cleanliness of the country.
“Taza Kazakhstan” brings together thousands of people across the republic – from schoolchildren to scientists – and demonstrates that caring for nature begins with simple yet important actions.

For the institute’s staff, the clean-up was not only an opportunity to tidy up the территории, but also a reminder of their professional mission – to study, conserve, and protect the biodiversity of Kazakhstan. A clean and well-maintained environment around a scientific institution is a symbol of respect for nature, with which researchers work every day.

Such events strengthen team spirit, foster environmental awareness, and demonstrate that real change begins with the personal involvement of each individual. “Taza Kazakhstan” is not just a campaign – it is a mindset and a step toward a sustainable future.
