On August 26, 2026, a meeting took place at the Institute of Zoology between Ramaz Gokhelashvili, the new Director of WWF Central Asia, and Aydin Baurzhanovich Yeszhanov, the Institute’s Director General.
During the meeting, the parties discussed promising areas of cooperation regarding biodiversity research and conservation, wildlife protection, and the implementation of joint environmental initiatives.
As a result of the discussions, an agreement was reached to prepare and sign a memorandum of cooperation between the Institute of Zoology and WWF Central Asia.
The upcoming memorandum will serve as a foundation for developing a partnership, exchanging scientific expertise, and implementing joint projects aimed at preserving the region’s natural heritage.
