The Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan presented a high state award to Alexey Alexandrovich Grachev.

On June 5, a ceremonial event dedicated to Ecologist Day and World Environment Day was held at the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Yerlan Nysanbayev, delivered a congratulatory speech. The event was attended by industry veterans, members of Parliament, ministry staff, representatives of subordinate organizations, and environmental specialists.
During the ceremony, employees who made a significant contribution to the development of the environmental sector were recognized. They were awarded state and departmental honors, certificates of merit, and letters of appreciation.
For outstanding achievements in the conservation and population recovery of the snow leopard in Kazakhstan, the “Qurmet” Order was awarded to the Head of the Theriology Laboratory of the Institute of Zoology of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Alexey Alexandrovich Grachev.

This award recognizes many years of scientific and conservation work aimed at preserving the snow leopard—one of the rarest and most vulnerable species of Kazakhstan’s fauna.
