First place in the CEPF photo contest

We are happy to announce that Saltore Saparbaev, a scientist from the Laboratory of Theriology, has won first place in the prestigious international competition dedicated to the International Day for Biological Diversity!

This competition is held annually by the Critical Ecosystem Partnership Fund (CEPF). CEPF plays an important role in supporting funding and technical assistance for the conservation of such ecosystems around the world. Given that our Institute of Zoology is collaborating with CEPF on a number of wildlife research and conservation grants, this achievement is even more significant.

We are proud of the talent of Saltore Saparbayev, who has been faithfully studying and photographing the wildlife of Kazakhstan for almost 20 years. For his work, he uses advanced technology and knowledge of the ecology and biology of species, and as a result, he brings his invaluable contribution to the protection of nature, raising awareness of the unique biodiversity and the importance of its conservation.
