On April 18, 2025, the Security and Occupational Safety Service of the RSE “Institute of Zoology” of the SC MES RK, in partnership with the Emergency Medicine Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Almaty, organized and conducted a training session on providing emergency medical assistance for various injuries and other critical human conditions.
The session was led by staff from the Emergency Medicine Center: head of the emergency medical aid department Dr. Yerlan Boranbayevich Zhumakhanov and paramedic Aina Kalykkyzy Sapakova.
The session included not only an important and informative theoretical part, covering human condition diagnostics and first aid for various injuries and conditions—such as blood loss, fractures, dislocations, and animal bites (ticks, snakes, dogs, etc.)—but also practical demonstrations. Participants learned how to properly perform premedical resuscitation in cases of unconsciousness, first actions in case of drowning, how to immobilize fractures, what to do if someone is choking, and how to respond to insect or animal bites.
Various materials and first aid supplies were also presented, showcasing how they can be used in emergency situations.
Employees of the Institute of Zoology were able to immediately apply what they learned and practice premedical emergency aid on mannequins during simulated critical situations.
We express our sincere gratitude to the Emergency Medicine Center of the Ministry for Emergency Situations of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Almaty, and especially to Dr. Yerlan Zhumakhanov and paramedic Aina Sapakova, for their participation and for delivering essential knowledge on providing emergency care in critical situations.
Thanks to this training, one of our staff members may one day be able to provide swift and competent assistance in a life-threatening situation—preserving someone’s health or even saving a life.
